Havre de Grace Main Street First Friday's "Light Up Night" kicks Christmas off Friday December 4th at 6:00pm with Santa arriving in style cruising on a fire truck down Washington Street in Havre de Grace. Enjoy the Havre de Grace High School Warrior Marching Band and Havre de Grace Middle School Band. Experience all the merchant specials and appreciate the talents of the Havre de Grace Chamber Singers. Begin the holiday season by telling Santa your Christmas wishes and warm up with the charm of Havre de Grace. During this holiday, the shops of Havre de Grace will have extended hours. In addition, several exciting events have been planned to bring the joy to all.

Throughout the month of December, choose from a flurry of exciting events to boost your Christmas spirit. The Steppingstone Museum will hold their annual Christmas Open House December 5th and 6th from noon-4 pm. The farmhouse will be decorated in true Christmas style with music.

The 37th Annual Candlelight Tour by the Susquehanna Lock House Museum on Sunday December 13th take a tour of historic Havre de Grace and architecturally interesting homes, shops, churches, and museums. This year's theme is "Arts by the Bay", each home will display works of art collected by featured homeowners. Home tours begin at 4 PM and continue until 8 PM . Lockhouse Ladies Boutique is opened Saturday December 12 from 9am-1pm and during the tour Sunday December 13th 12noon-8pm at the Susquehanna Lockhouse Museum. There will be many Christmas crafts and baked goods that you surely won't want to miss. Tour Tickets are $15.00 and are available at the Havre de Grace Visitor Center all to benefit the Susquehanna Lockhouse Museum.

A nautical Christmas will be had by all at the Maritime Museum, December 13th from 10AM - 8 PM. Join them for seasonal munchies, music, crafts and decorations.

Be sure to add the Havre de Grace Church Tour to your traditions. The splendid self guided tour of the Churches is free and open to all on December 27th at 2-4PM.

How better to ring in the New Year than with the Havre de Grace Fireworks display December 31st. Begin your New Year's at one of Havre de Grace's impeccably decorated Bed and Breakfasts. Dine at any of the excellent restaurants and finish your evening celebrating the end of 2009 with a fireworks display like no other at the Havre de Grace Middle School. Sound your duck calls and count down for the Duck Drop and ring in the New Year.
